Today was part 2 of our video covering the Medici family. We also worked on student led notes for Chapter 17 Section 2-The Northern Renaissance. Each student was is expected to have their notes complete before class tomorrow, so mom and dad this would be a great day to check up on them.

Here’s what we did today:

o       Video-Medici-Godfathers of the Renaissance  (Last 30 minutes of 55 min)

o       w/ Guided Fillin the Blank Video Questions

o       Vocabulary Match-up Review Activity-Chapter 17-European Renaissance and Reformation  (Sections 1-4)

o       Lecture-Chapter 17-Section 2-The Northern Renaissance

o       Student Led Guided Notes

o       Daily Objective-

o       Content Objective:

§        SWD analysis of the rise of the Medici family and their impact on Italy through using guided video questions and class discussions.

§        SWD analysis of key terms associated with the unit covering Chapter 17 through the manipulating of vocabulary terms in a collaborative activity

§        SWD evaluation of the effects of the Renaissance on Northern Europe that led to new developments during the Elizabethan Age and the spread of new ideas through comparison and the use of guided notes

o       Language Objective:

§        Students will listen and record the rise of the Medici family and their impact on Italy by using guided video questions and class discussions.

§        Students will read and orally match up important vocabulary terms pertaining to the unit covering Chapter 17 by using a vocabulary match-up activity

§        Students will read and record information regarding the evaluation of the effects of the Renaissance on Northern Europe that led to the new developments during the Elizabethan Age and the spread of new ideas by completing student centered guided notes
