Benchmark Reading Assignment:
Reread paragraph 5-11. How do the boy’s reactions to camping and the sound of the cannon reveal their similarities and differences? Write a paragraph how Huck and Tom are similar. Write another paragraph of how Huck and Tom are different.

Zearn 10 minutes— many students are not doing zearn on a daily basis. WE just finished lesson 10 so they should be at lesson 11 or above.

Homework 10/7/2019
Field trip tomorrow!
Make sure your child wears gym shoes, a sweater, and lunch. In their lunch they may not have: hot chips, pop, or any glass cans. They may put their lunch in a duffle bag so they can carry it around. Bring a water bottle so you have something to drink. We will be walking a lot!
Reading:
Read for 20 minutes and write a summary. I would like you to open a google document and start writing the summary.

Cat in the Hat
The fish helped the two kids stay out of trouble. The big cat was trying to trick the two kids by trying to get them to do bad things.
10/4/2019
Big Nate
Nate was happy his teacher that he didn’t like had moved. Little did he know she only moved closer to the school. Nate was so upset.
Spelling:
We had classtime to do the first activity in class. Some students finished in class and some students are not using classtime wisely. Ask your child what they got on last weeks test.
Science:
Brain Pop- Property Changes. Please do an assignment each day and leave the quiz until the end.
Social Studies-
Many students are not done with their slide so please remind your child to finish at home.
Writing-
Many students shared their letter but I only got 17 of the 24 students. Ask your child to show you that they have shared their writing.
Math-
We started lesson 10 in class, when we come back from the field trip students will have time to work on lesson 10 in class. We have a quiz on Wednesday for lessons 9 and 10. They will have a practice quiz assigned to them tomorrow on edulastic.. If they study form their homework assignments they will do well.
