Dear Parents of Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students,

Our Spring Concert is May 18 at 1:00 and I would like to begin selecting students for the speaking parts. The students can access the songs and speaking parts at home to practice for the concert by doing the following:

1. Click on Student Portal on https://dearbornschools.org/
2. Click on Clever
3. Scroll down to locate QuaverEd and click on it.
4. Click on the red A+ located on the student dashboard.
5. Click on “Pet Show Kinder, 1, 2, grades” 
6. Click on “Launch located to the right of the assignment box.
7. Each song is a slide – to change slides just click on the slide titles at the bottom of the screen.

If you know your child will not be here for the concert on May 18 please send me an email and I will not assign a speaking part for your child.

Also going home this evening is our Math Quick Check for Module 4 Topic B. Please sign and return it to school tomorrow.

Hello Families!

Please remember for the month of March —reading logs are due EVERY Monday! We will be competing against the other classes for participation. Students must be reading 20 minutes nightly.  This does not include their fluency or spelling homework.  The class with the most participation at the end of the month will get a pizza party!

Reminder that the Pistons tickets are on sale! We’re nearing losing our reserved section and prizes if we don’t get enough tickets sold!  This event is not limited to just our students, anyone can attend!   Our seats will be released on March 6th if we have not sold 75!! Reminder: Students need to be completing homework on their own- please do not write out their homework for them. Also, they need to solve math problems using the strategies that we learn in school, that will be what they are tested on.

Then you will need to fill in the window of minutes read and initial in the window next to it. For March we are celebrating March is Reading Month and have many fun activities to go along with it! Our theme will be superheros and we will be reading a chapter book together at school throughout the month. Reading logs will be due on Monday each week for participation prizes! Special thanks to PTA for donating these.

Hello Families!

What a wonderful day we have had so far! The kids got to learn about dental hygiene this morning. Going home with them tonight is a goodie bag from the dental students.

Reading Homework from last week will continue throughout this week and be due Friday, March 3rd. Please have your child read their fluency passage each night. Same Spelling Words from last week also. Spelling Test will be Friday 3/3.

Hello families!

Tomorrow dental students will be coming to our classroom to teach us all things about the dentist! They will be here promptly at 9:10 am. Please make sure your child gets to school right at 9:00 am. This will allow us to start our day by taking attendance and lunch count!

Wow! What an unexpected few days off! I know many are without power, so I hope everyone is staying safe and warm!

Going into next week, we will have the same spelling words and our Spelling test will be next Friday.
