Weekly Update!

Hello Families!

We had a busy first week of 2nd Grade! It’s been wonderful getting to know your child and everyone is doing great so far!

Thanks for all of the school supplies, we appreciate it!

Next week we will be jumping into our curriculum. Students will have nightly homework of reading and math- which should take no longer than 20 minutes.

Please mark your calendars for our two planned field trips this school year, September 29th and May 23rd. All students must have a chaperone drive them and attend the trip with them. We will not be taking a bus. All chaperones must complete an iChat form to attend. Permission slips and iChats forms will be sent home next week. IChat forms must be completed and turned in with a copy of your driver’s license. If you completed a form last year then you are all set. Forms are good for three years. More information to come. We will be attending the field trip with kindergarten and first grade.

There is no school Friday-Monday for Labor Day. School resumes next week on Tuesday 9/5/23.

Have a wonderful long weekend!

Welcome Back 2nd Graders!

Good afternoon,

Students will be dropped off and picked up in the front at door 18 everyday (with the covered walkway, same as in kindergarten and 1st grade). Drop off starts at 8:35 for breakfast in the cafeteria, school starts at 9am. If you still have school supplies to drop off, there will be tables outside in the morning tomorrow. Please make sure the bag/box is labeled with VERRIER. Parents will not be allowed in the building; there will be many staff assisting students with where to go so please do not worry! It is a half day and students will be dismissed at 12:05 outside door 18. All students must give me a high five before being dismissed. If your child has an older sibling in grades 3-5 they will be dismissed in the back with their siblings class at door 12.

Students need a water bottle and a healthy snack daily. We will have snack in the morning since we have a later lunch this year. They will also be getting their Daily Folders (it will be blue) with important paperwork inside. Please read over everything carefully and return when completed. Their folder needs to come back to school each day.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Due to a death in my immediate family, I must leave school a few minutes before dismissal. Mrs. Schoolmaster will be dismissing my students from door 18. Thank you for understanding.

I can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow!

Hello Summer!

What a year! This year was by far one of the best in my teaching career! Thank you so much for the privilege of being your child’s teacher! I loved watching them all grow and reach the highest heights! I am so sad to see this year end, but welcome this long waited summer break ☀️

I would love if we could all get together at some point this summer for a park play date! I will post a blog and email to see what dates might work for everyone in a few weeks.

Thank you again for everything this year! I have loved being a part of your families’ lives ♥️

Please read and a reminder!

Hello families!

It seems that there is something going around the classroom, I had quite a few students out today. Please make sure students are getting their vitamins and going to bed at a decent time. We are almost done with the school year and I would love to be able to spend it with everyone!

Tomorrow is game board day! Have your child bring in a game to play in class!

Have a great night!
