Students MUSt wear a coat outside to recess.  This is something that we have talked about at length in our room.  Please send your child to school with appropriate winter clothing.  A note went home last week on this matter.

The Green Team will be having a bake sale tomorrow after school from 3:45-4:15 outside of the gym. All items are $1.00 to $2.00.

Please remember to send your child top school with warm winter clothes.  A note went home this week about appropriate winter gear for recess.

Moving forward, we will review our math lessons of the week each Friday.  Students will come home with the review that we did in class along with practice work.  I will not make completing this practice work mandatory.  But, I told students that if they return it completed on Mondays, they will get 5 tickets.

Starting Monday, December 12th, I will begin to progress monitor students in phonics.  I will send home the updated progress monitoring data with students the week of December 19th.

1. November Reading Logs are due Thursday, December 1st.  Front and back of reading logs need to be completed along with parent signature.  Students that return their reading logs completed with this criteria will receive a free pizza coupon for Pizza Hut.

3. Popcorn Friday is THIS Friday 12/2!!!  Please send in $1 on Friday.
4. There is a Parent Meeting Wednesday 11/30 at 3:00 pm in the cafeteria.  A flier went home yesterday in your child’s Yellow Daily Folder.

Hello Families!

I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend! 

Please send in a warmer change of clothes to be kept in your child’s locker. Tomorrow, students will bring home the clothes that are in their locker now- these clothes are from the beginning of the year and not weather appropriate right now.

Also, please remember that the weather has changed now. Students need to come to school with snow shoes, snow pants, scarfs, and gloves; these can/will be kept in their lockers for when they are needed. Students will change in and out of their snow gear on the days necessary. This will make sure students stay warm outside and help keep our floors and Montessori rugs clean.

Can’t wait to see students tomorrow morning!

Hello Families!

Today was a very busy day!

We took our Spelling and Math Test!  We celebrated Talia’s and Alirida’s Birthdays!  We also had a Pizza Party!

Going home today in your child’s Yellow Daily Folder are the following:

• Thanksgiving Break Work Packet.  There is a Reading Packet and Math Packet.  If your child completes both of the packets COMPLETELY then he/she will get a desk pet and an accessory or food 🙂  This is a good way to ensure that your child stays academically active while we are on break.  Please do not complete all of this in one day.  Also, there is not a lot in these packets, just work that will build on their understanding.
• Some students will have an IRIP that parents signed during parent-teacher conferences- this copy is for you.  Please do not return.
• Students also have completed work in their folders.
• Spelling and High Frequency Word Lists are also in their folders.

I will not be at school tomorrow.  Thank you again Mrs. Salmassi for helping out and taking care of our kids!

Hello Families!

Wow! What an eventful week we had!

Tomorrow we will have both our Spelling Test and Math Test. We will review for both before taking them.

We will also have our Pizza Party tomorrow!

I will be out on Tuesday. Mrs. Salmassi will again be watching over our students. Thank you so much Mrs. Salmassi!

I will be sending home some extra work over Thanksgiving break for students to keep their minds active!

Hello Families!

What a surprise this morning! I know that unexpected situations can be hard for some families, so I hope everyone was able to sort out the no school day quickly!

Since we were not in school today, I could not send the second part of our Module 2 Review home. So, we will have our Math Test on Monday 11/21/22.

Our Spelling test will still be tomorrow over the long u vowel pattern.

Tomorrow is our Pizza Party! We will have pizza, meat pies, cookies, and juice.
