Thursday, December 22nd, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade will be having a Grinch Party.  Thank you so much for donating items. 

PLEASE send all items into school TOMORROW.  We need to divide the items and prepare materials from Thursday.

We are in need of GREEN paper plates.  If you can donate those, can you please email Mrs. Angela, Mrs. schneider, or Mrs. Verrier letting one of us know.

Hello Families!

There has been many absences lately. So, I wanted to address absent work.

If your child is going to be absent, please email me and let me know so that I can mark them accordingly in our system. This will also let me know that I need to collect work for them. Preparing work ahead of time or for someone to pick up at the end of the day is not something that I can commit too. Our days are very busy and free time is not a thing that I get throughout the day to get absent work ready. I also plan the next days lessons based on student understanding from the previous day.

This being said, one thing that you can do to support your child at home is to have them complete Zearn Lessons. I have updated all student accounts to the exact lessons that we are learning this week. This will allow them to get instruction on what they have missed and also allows them to practice. Please make sure that they are logging into the correct Zearn account. I sent home Zearn login information earlier this year, but if you need it again, please let me know and I will email it to you.

Many students have been sick. We are running very low on hand sanitizer, clorox wipes, baby wipes, and kleenex. If you could donate any of these items to our classroom, we would all appreciate it very much!

Please remind your child to cover their mouth when coughing and to use hand sanitizer after blowing their nose. These are reminders that I give each day, but the home support would be appreciated 🙂

Don’t forget- today is Picture Retake Day!

Hello Howe Families!

The Candy Cane Gram sale has officially begun! Please talk with your child tonight about  how many Candy Cane Grams they would like to make for friends. These are $1 per gram again this year. In folders each child has an order form and ziplock bag. Tomorrow, we will send home how many you request and have paid for.  You have until next Monday, December 19th to color and add a thoughtful message to the person receiving it. Turn in to your child’s teacher when finished. If you have any questions please let us know!

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Reminder:

Please send your child to school with appropriate, warm winter clothes for recess.

We reviewed Math lessons 4-7 on Friday.  Students were sent home with our review in their Yellow Daily Folder.  There was a page stapled to the front that students can complete for Monday.  If students complete the extra practice and turn it in tomorrow (Monday), they will get 5 tickets.  This extra practice is not mandatory.  We will be having a quick check Monday on Lessons 4-7.  This will be sent home with students either on Monday or Tuesday.

Tomorrow,  Monday, December 12th, I will begin to progress monitor students in phonics.  I will send home the updated progress monitoring data with students the week of December 19th.
