Hello Families!

There has been many absences lately. So, I wanted to address absent work.

If your child is going to be absent, please email me and let me know so that I can mark them accordingly in our system. This will also let me know that I need to collect work for them. Preparing work ahead of time or for someone to pick up at the end of the day is not something that I can commit too. Our days are very busy and free time is not a thing that I get throughout the day to get absent work ready. I also plan the next days lessons based on student understanding from the previous day.

This being said, one thing that you can do to support your child at home is to have them complete Zearn Lessons. I have updated all student accounts to the exact lessons that we are learning this week. This will allow them to get instruction on what they have missed and also allows them to practice. Please make sure that they are logging into the correct Zearn account. I sent home Zearn login information earlier this year, but if you need it again, please let me know and I will email it to you.

Many students have been sick. We are running very low on hand sanitizer, clorox wipes, baby wipes, and kleenex. If you could donate any of these items to our classroom, we would all appreciate it very much!

Please remind your child to cover their mouth when coughing and to use hand sanitizer after blowing their nose. These are reminders that I give each day, but the home support would be appreciated 🙂
