Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and enjoyed the beautiful weather like my family and I did. As we prepare to bring the students back to school this week, I want to thank all of you for being so understanding and flexible with me these past few weeks! I know this school year has been challenging and full of change, so thank you for everything you have been doing at home to support or virtual learning. I am feeling all the feelings as we embark on this new transition, and am so excited to start seeing some of the students tomorrow!
As we start phasing into our in-person half day sessions, I want to remind everyone of how the day will look. Starting tomorrow, I will be posting daily activities on schoology, for you and you child to complete during the school hours spent at home. Every student needs to sign into schoology daily, and like the update of the day, for attendance purposes. The update of the day will contain at home learning activities for the day.
When the kids are at school the classroom team and I will focus on teaching educational curriculum, like Math, Reading, Writing, Science, and Social Studies, along with assessing individual learning goals, and participating in daily Specials like, Art, Physical Education & Music, and Life skills such as play, toileting, dressing, and feeding.
For example, if your child is attending the AM in person session. They will report to school from 8:15-10:45. After lunch time, 12:15ish, you will continue the at home learning by logging into schoology, liking the daily update, and completing the posted activities for the day. If you have time, Please share how the activities went by commenting on the daily update. You can share how your child reacted to the daily video, or if they participated in the daily paper or virtual activity.
Or, if you child is attending the PM session, you will need to log in to schoology in the morning, 8:15ish, like the daily update, and complete the posted activities for the day.
