- As you may remember, conferences begin this week. Conference times will be available from 3:45-6:45 this Thursday, Nov. 7th, as well as next Tuesday, Nov. 12, and Thursday, Nov. 14th. Reminders for your child’s specific time were sent home on Friday.
- There is NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, Nov. 5 for Election Day. Sign-ups were posted today to help raise funds for Lansing by selling chips to the public on Election Day. Please sign up if you are able to help us!
- The bookfair begins Monday, Nov. 11. Please send money with your child on Monday morning if you would like your child to purchase a book.
Volunteers Needed!
The third grade team is looking for a few volunteers to help us host a chip sale to the public on Election Day, to help fund our trip to Lansing. We already have the chips, we just need the volunteers to sell them. If you are available for an hour or two to help us raise funds by selling chips to the voting public, we would all certainly appreciate it very much! Please sign up by typing in your name on the document below if you are available to help.

How to improve students test scores!
Has your child taken a math test or quiz and earned a lower score than you were expecting? Do not worry! This year students will have the opportunity to complete math test corrections for an opportunity to earn additional points, while fixing their mistakes. All students need to do is get a copy of the test corrections form, identify each incorrect problem, and explain what they did wrong, then identify the correct answer, and explain why it is correct. When completed, students should turn in the original test attached to the test corrections form. Students will earn back half of the points for each question that is corrected, while learning from their mistakes at the same time. You can also view a copy of the test corrections sheet anytime using the link in the homework tab of my blog.
Open House Thursday!
This Thursday, September 12 is our Open House Night. We will also be hosting our third grade parent meeting on Thursday, just before the Open House begins. Our Parent Meeting will begin at 5:30pm in the Media Center and visitations to classrooms will begin at 6:00pm. We hope to see you all there!
