March 31

Hey everyone, we will have our google hangout at 1:00 today. I will send the nickname for the meeting right before the schedule time.
After I read the next chapter in Matilda we will get on Kahoot and play another game. You can download the Kahoot app or go to kahoot.it and enter the game pin when I give it to you!
Looking forward to “seeing” many of you this afternoon!

Today’s Google Hangout

Good Morning!
We will have another Google Hangout session today at 2:30!
I can no longer send links, I have to send them using a “nickname”
It is still really easy to access, just follow these three steps:
1. In a web browser, enter https://meet.google.com.
2. Click Join or start a meeting.
3. Enter the nickname provided to you.

I will send the nickname for the meeting right before our scheduled time so we can all hop on then!

Google Hangout

Happy Friday! I can’t believe it’s been 2 weeks since I have last seen you all in person! I really enjoyed seeing many of you on google hangouts on Wednesday. We are going to do it again today. I’ve got my favorite book all ready to start reading to you, I think you have all heard of it before!
Here is the link to join at 2:30 this afternoon https://meet.google.com/coc-phtj-uye
“See” you then!

I can’t wait to “see” you!

Week of March 23

Hello families!
Thank you to those of you who have been working so hard on the work we have provided for you! I am enjoying staying in contact with you all as I am missing being in the classroom so much! Don’t forget, many activities will be in Google Classroom. Don’t forget, from home, you have to put in your user number and then @dearbornschools.org in order to log in!
For next week (week of March 23-27) you should complete the following:
Math:
*Lessons 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14
*Complete Zearn for each lesson first (we can see your progress)
*Read the homework helper for each lesson
*Complete 3 problems of your choice from your Succeed book for each lesson
*Take a picture of your completed problems and send them to your homeroom teacher on Class Dojo.
*We have included the link to Embarc on google classroom. If at any time you would like further assistance, you can watch “the man”

Reading:
*Continue reading the book you chose
*On Google Classroom you will see an assignment for a Literature Circle Activities Menu
*Choose ONE activity from the menu to complete this week
*Your book should be about ⅔ of the way done by now

Writing:
*See the Google Classroom assignment (note, there is going to be several google classroom assignments, so you may have to scroll down to get to the one you need!) Do not “turn in” your assignment from this past week, just keep adding journal entries to it for this coming week! I have read each and every one of your journal entries. They have made me laugh, made me sad, and made me wish we were all learning together again!

Science:
Make sure you have completed one science experiment on your own and be prepared to share it with the class! (if you did one this past week, there’s no need to do another one). There are a lot of free videos to watch on Mystery Science right now, so that’s an option! There are also many free virtual field trips, so that’s an option, too!

Social Studies:
*Feel free to continue watching the Liberty’s Kids videos on You Tube. We left off on episode 13!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me through class dojo, google classroom, or email (kayel@dearbornschools.org)
I miss you all!
Mrs. Kaye
