This is my 12th year as a classroom teacher in the Dearborn Public Schools. I spent almost 2 years at Michigan State University until I moved home and graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2006 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with both a Language Arts and Math minor. I subbed within the district for almost 2 years before I was placed into a classroom. Since then, I have taught First grade at Maples Elementary , Seventh grade at Stout Middle School, Preschool at Whitmore-Bolles/Cotter, and Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade here at Becker Elementary. In December 2010, I graduated from the University of Michigan- Dearborn, with my Master of Arts in Education Degree, with an ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement.
I enjoy spending time with my amazing husband, beautiful daughter, handsome son, wonderful parents, and 2 older brothers. I was married in July of 2012, and my husband and I welcomed our daughter to the world April of 2013; and our son in April of 2014. Besides enjoying married and mommy life, I love being outdoors (except in the winter) and often visit the Detroit Zoo, local nature trails, Henry Ford Museum, and Greenfield Village.I really enjoy going to Tigers and Red Wings games! And I LOVE love LOVE shopping at Target, Home Goods, and Barnes & Noble. I also LOVE Starbucks & Tim Hortons! In the summer I enjoy relaxing, visiting splash pads with my children, and traveling to warm places. If you need to contact me, please give me a call at the school, send a note, stop in after school, or send an email! email@example.com
