I’m so excited to start a new school year! School begins Monday, August 27 and will be a half day. Students will be dismissed at 11:45am.

Our first graders came up with some pretty creative ways to trap the Gingerbread Man!

5th grade students have been designing snow ball cannons to protect The North Pole from invaders.

We can’t wait to test our designs later this week!

Last week Young 5a students were given the task to build a house for the three little pigs. Their houses had to stand up and be “Wolf proof”

Attention: Families with Preschool age children who are 4 years of age by December 1, 2017. There is an immediate possibility of free full day preschool beginning in January 2018 in the Dearborn Public Schools (next month). The family must be eligible based on risk factors and not currently enrolled in a GSRP program. If interested, families may pick up an application at the Cotter Early Childhood Center, 13020 Osborn or call Nadia Berry at 313-827-6150.

Third graders were given the task to create a bridge using one of the three models they learned about: arch, pillar, or suspension.  Next week we will test our designs to see which team had the strongest design.

Students in our Young 5s class practiced their counting skills yesterday! Counting dots on dominoes and sorting them by number seemed to be tricky for some but not these girls!
