Last week, we read the book Stand Tall Molly Lou Lemon

The book is about a girl who is very unique; she embraces the traits that make her special.  In the book, Molly Lou performs a special trick with pennies (check out the book from the media center if you want to see what she does).  We decided to try our own special trick with pennies!  Students predicted how many drops of what their penny could hold.  Like true scientists, we wrote down our predictions and carried out the investigation.  Boy were we surprised that a penny can hold much more than we thought!
