Class Info

An enthralling journey through the world of geometry. Get ready for adventures with angles, triumphs with triangles, quality time with quadrilaterals, and some serious circles. We will learn through a combination of notes, group activities, individual work, tests, quizzes, and projects.

For the school year of 2019-2020, all of the Geometry courses at DHS are piloting new resources to better serve our students in their learning process. Please be patient with us as we all learn how to best utilize these new resources.

Semester 1: We are using Agile Mind, which relies heavily on group work and critical thinking. For your Information about Agile Mind.

Grading Policies:

We are a Standards Based Classroom, so our grading might be a bit different from what you remember in previous math classes. (Information about Standards Based Grading in general can be found on the DHS Website)

Standards Grades:

  • 0 – The submitted work could not be assessed for understanding of the standard.
  • 1 – The work demonstrates the student is in the beginning stages of understanding the concept
  • 2 – The work shows that the student is still developing their understanding of the standard
  • 3 – The student is proficient with the skills expected of the standard at this time
  • 4 – The student has mastered the standard and shows skills exceeding the expectations of this class

Grades for individual standards will be assessed and updated often throughout the semester. Our goal is for regular improvement and growing our understanding together.

Accessing EnVision: Follow the instructions on the following document. If your trouble persists, either reach out to Moylan or contact Pearson through their Support service for help.
