Homework:
- Read pages 38-41 of the science book. Must memorize the 8 moon phases.
- Answer pages 1-3 of the science packet.
- Sign math and spelling test and return to school
- Finish writing the summary for your opinion draft. Revise the sentences and edit the paper.
- Study the spelling words and finish the Freyer model for vocabulary 1
Friday, October 5
Homework:
- Answer social studies sheet about Native Americans
- Math Succeed lesson 10 pg. 47
- Write a second draft for the cellphone opinion piece including paragraph one with orientation and a claim statement. Compose 3 paragraphs that contain an explanation of each reason. Please do not write a summary yet. We will practice in class.
- Log on Zearn.org and practice math
- Practice on I-Ready
Thursday, October 4
Homework:
- We started our new social studies unit ” Three Worlds Meet”. It is about the early history of the United State through colonization. Please make sure that your child visits the notes daily for review in order to gain better comprehension of the subject. Study notes of lessons 1 and 3. Read pages 8 and 9 of the Atlas book and answer the following question: Who were the first Americans?

Thank you to all whom attended our data meeting this afternoon.
Every end of the month I allow the students to enjoy 30 minutes of free time. This month, The students voted for electronics. They may bring electronics tomorrow to use at the end of the day only.

Homework:
Math test tomorrow. Please review the Exit slips with your child as the questions are going to be similar. I also gave the students a password for ZEARN.org to help the child review the math lessons.
Practice spelling words
Write the 1st paragraph of your opinion essay. It is the orientation ( introduction). Remember, you should not state your opinion yet!
Please try to join us tomorrow in room 212 to share with you the tests results at 2:20-3:00.

- Take a position or a claim on the opinion writing and complete the RACES graphic organizer using evidence from the Pros. and Cons. sheet.
- Solve math page 31 questions 1 and 2. Math test is next Wednesday.

Homework:
- Read science book pg. 15-17. Take notes and come prepared to discuss what you read.
- Spelling test tomorrow
- We are learning about rounding whole and decimals to several place values. I am including a parent letter that gives you an idea what we are doing. I did not assign math homework because the students still need more instruction for this lesson. Rounding whole and decimal numbers to any place
