The students will choose one vocabulary word and write the definition using the Frayer Model. The students have a sheet of what to do.

A kindly reminder, please join us for Open House on Thursday, September 12 from 6:00-7:30 to meet the teachers, have a look at your child’s books, and sign up for November parent -teacher conferences.

Homework: Continue working on the spelling list. Study social studies notes and vocabulary. I know so far our academic pace is a bit slow due to testing. However, a lot of learning is happening in the classroom.

We started our NWEA language arts today and hopefully, we will wrap it up tomorrow.

Homework:

Practice spelling words for test on Friday. The sheet is due on Friday. Each student will highlight 2 vocabularies they need to work on.

Some students received a parent survey. We would really appreciated if you complete it and send it back with your child tomorrow. Thank you in advance for your support.

The majority of our day was spent testing. Therefore, I just want the students to finish publishing ” Meet Me ” poster and enjoy a restful afternoon.

We started taking the NWEA math today. Many students finished and some still need more time. We shall continue testing this week.

Our testing window is open now. The students will be taking NWEA ( in reading -math-language arts-science, DRA, and I-Diagnostic reading test. Once I am done testing, I will share your child’s scores.

We are still working on establishing our daily routine. Today we learned about why we need rules and laws. We also started practicing the routine for our math lessons. We read a book “I am a Dreamer” and each student wrote a paragraph about their dream. Please make sure your child returns their poster to school tomorrow.

My daughter and grandchild came for a short visit, and the students enjoyed seeing him and took pictures. You can see a couple of pictures under the picture tab.

A reminder, no school on Friday and Monday due to Labor Day holiday.
