As we end our final week of learning, we want to thank our 4th Grade families for doing an amazing job keeping up with school work. We are so proud of your students for the work and effort that they have put into online learning. We hope that we made online learning enjoyable for your student!

For next week, we are planning to have a Virtual Talent Show through Seesaw. Please take the weekend to think about what you want to do for your talent. You can choose to sing, dance, play an instrument, show your art, recite a poem, or any other talent you want to showcase. We look forward to ending the year by celebrating you!

If you are from Ms. Cronin’s class please use these directions:

  1. Go to app.seesaw.me
  2. Choose “I’m a Student”
  3. Type in the code: VPSS MBJF. This code expires on June 11, 2020
  4. Finish creating your account using your school Google account 

If you are from Ms. Vuichard or Mrs. Greco’s Class use these directions:

  1. Go to app.seesaw.me
  2. Choose “I’m a Student”
  3. Sign in using your school Google account Click on your profile icon on the top left
  4. Find the Assignment “Virtual Talent Show” and read the directions

Now that Zoom and Google Meet are canceled we are switching to the Big Blue Button. We have tried to make the change as easy as possible by using the ILearn program we use for our weekly spelling.

Big Blue Button Video Chat Directions:

  1. Go to https://dearbornschools.org/
  2. Then scroll down, and click “Student Portal”
  3. Click “iLearn Classrooms”
  4. Log in using Student Google Account
  5. Go to Week 31 in the Spelling Course
  6. Then, press “Live Meeting”
    You will need to wait until your teacher is in the Meeting to be allowed to enter.

Review these steps today, so you are ready for tomorrow. My plan is for you to share your water park projects and talk about the Virtual Talent Show.

Pick Up End of the Year Gifts 6/3

Pick up for End of The Year Gifts will happen TOMORROW from 12:00 to 1:30 pm! I will be located outside by the 4th Grade Doors on Coburn. If you can’t come during that time, please message me or email me. I will make other arrangements if needed.

I want to say thank you to all the students and families who showed up today. It was so good to see your smiling faces and celebrate your accomplishments!

End of the Year Gifts and Last Day of School Parade

Two important dates:

Pick up your end of the year gifts TODAY from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Come to Haigh at the 4th grade doors on Coburn. I will say my goodbyes and send you off to fifth grade with a bag of goodies!

For safety, I will be wearing a mask and following social distancing rules.

If you can not pick up today, come next Thursday for the Last Day of School Parade. (If you can not come this day, I can make arrangements with you to get your gift.) For more information on the last day parade, please read below.

FINAL HAIGH DRIVE THROUGH!!! STOP BY AND SAY HELLO TO THE HAIGH STAFF BEFORE OUR SUMMER BREAK BEGINS!!!

Locations:
K-2 Teachers/Specials/and Support Staff will be at the Silvery Lane Drop Off Lane

3-5 Teachers/Specials/and Support Staff will be at the Coburn Drop Off Lane.

IMPORTANT- THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL ALSO BE PASSED OUT
Student belongings and resources( desks and locker items from this year)

Student Year Books( for those that purchased)

5th grade certificates
Medication-Nurse Conn will be at Haigh to pass out student medications from this school year. She will be on Robindale near the staff parking lot.

Returning items- see directions below for classroom books, library books, and safety belts. Students who borrowed chromebooks can hold on to them until the Fall.

TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE, WE WILL ONCE AGAIN USE THE DIRECTIONS BELOW:

Steps for pick up:
For maximum protection we will be placing your students’ resources in a brown bag labeled with their First Name, Last Name, grade level and Teacher.

Pick-up will be a drive through service.
Grades K-1-2 will pick up using the Silvery Lane drop off lane.
Grades 3-4-5 will pick up using the Coburn drop off lane.

Parents please place a sign in your passenger window with the names of your student(s)(First Name, Last Name, Grade Level and Teacher.

When you pull up to the grade level station, we will then place the brown bag of resources into your trunk and you will be all set 🙂

Returning Haigh Items-We will have bins set up for safety belts, classroom books, library books, etc..Please place items in a clear/plastic bag that is labeled with the classroom teacher’s name or library. ***These items can be placed in your trunk and we will take out while placing your students brown bag of resources.
