Here is a look at our week:

ELA/Writing: In writing, we are finish our whole class compare and contrast stories and moving on to our independent stories. Students will be using two different texts about people who had an impact on the slavery movement to write their own pieces. In ELA, we will be practicing finding evidence in a text.

Math: In math, we are finishing module 3 this week. Study guides will go home on Monday and our test will be on Thursday. This week we will be learning lessons 35-38. These lessons are very important at the end of the module- it is about double digit multiplication. We will review the study guide Thursday morning and take the test Thursday afternoon.

Science/ Social Studies: In science, we are continuing our sound mysteries. In social studies, we are learning about the Three Branches of Government and Separation of Powers. Students will be creating posters of the branches and the important roles they play.

**IMPORTANT REMINDERS**
– Monday is our blue ceremony celebration!! Please wear your blue lindbergh gear or just a blue shirt!

-We are just asking for some supplies for our Valentine’s Day celebration on Friday. If you are able to send in something- please sign up below!!

Please remember, if treats or valentine’s cards are being brought to school there should be enough for everyone! We have 24 students in our class:)
