This week, students will be taking notes on Point of View and Dialogue on Monday and Tuesday. The quiz for these notes will be on Thursday, October 17th.

Students can also practice on IXL.com, using 6th Grade E.2 to practice point of view or 5th Grade SS.4 to practice dialogue. These assignments will be due on 10/17/19, before students take their test.

We will be working on metacognitive logs in class, basing our reactions on Seedfolks, which we should be finishing up soon.

Students will also begin brainstorming for their narrative writing assignment, which is to write the last chapter of Seedfolks, with a new character being added. They may write as though they are not themselves, or may write from their own point of view. Please see the post on the narrative writing assignment for instructions, expectations, and the rubric.
