Hello families!

We are off to such a wonderful start this week! Take a look at some of the awesome learning that is taking place in Young 5s!

We identified the quantity rolled on our dice and matched it with the actual number!
We are writing a personal narrative with a beginning, middle, and end about a time we had a celebration!
we sorted pictures that begin with the letter Vv’s sound and the letter Uu’s sound.
Mrs. Hansen brought in Trixie along with some library books for us to borrow! She read Harry the Dirty Dog by Gene Zion.
We made the letter Vv with playdough and brainstormed words that begin the letter Vv’s sound.
We made flowers and compared the number of petals on each one to see which had more and which had less.
We love writing in our binders!
We respond to stories from Benchmark with writing and telling about what we read!

This week is Earth Day! We will be talking about ways to help keep our planet healthy and beautiful! Today and tomorrow we will be discussing recycling! If you have a recycling routine you do at home, please explain it to your son or daughter. If you do not, please consider recycling your old paper, plastics, and glass to help keep our landfills from overflowing with much trash.

Thank you for all you do!
