Hello Families!

I hope you enjoyed the meet and greet this morning! Please feel free to talk to me anytime! It was such a pleasure meeting those of you I haven’t met yet and seeing those of you whom I have met. And, of course, I loved seeing my students!

Please see the following information regarding the rest of this week’s schedule. And, I would love for each of you to send a water bottle to school for your child. Please be sure to write their name on it. I will provide snack this week. Starting next Tuesday, please send not only the water bottle but also a healthy snack to school with your child. (ex. vegetables, crackers, fruit) Please do not send yogurt, milk, juice, candy, chips, or cookies. Thanks!

One more thing, please remember to take a look at the emergency information for on the manila colored paper inside your child’s school folder. Please send it back with any corrections that are needed.

I am so very excited for all that this school year holds! And…. thank you for giving me the honor of being your child’s teacher!

Ok…. here’s the info for this week. 🙂

First Day of Summer!!!

Posted on

Hello Families!

Today is the first day of summer! They say it is the longest day of the year! I encourage you all to take advantage of the extra daylight today. Maybe you can spend it pushing your child on the swing, a late afternoon picnic, or a bike ride! Time with our little ones goes by so fast… It seems like yesterday I was sitting on a blanket outside with my son reading a pile of his favorite books to him. Those quiet peaceful times make such beautiful heart warming memories. With all that said, :)…. enjoy the lovely weather, the gorgeous sunshine, and the company of the ones you love! Miss you all!

Thanks for all you do!

Last Week of Young 5s!

Hello Families!

As I sit here typing this blog….I cannot help to feel bitter sweet about this last week of school. I am so excited to celebrate all of the many many successes this year has brought for all of my students. However, I know I will have tears in my eyes as I say goodbye for the summer! Your children have taken up a very special place in my heart! They have truly made my first year at Oakman and my first year teaching Young 5s such a joy! Your children have made me laugh everyday! It is my hope that I instilled within them a never-ending love for learning accompanied with an excitement to set and achieve goals. They are so very amazing! I look back at last fall and then think about now…our last week of school….and cannot help to feel proud of all of the growth socially, emotionally, and academically. I am so confident they will be shining stars in kindergarten! Along with a never-ending love for learning, I hope I have instilled within them the knowledge to know they are valued and loved. I hope they know to never give up and to always keep trying. I hope they know that their value to you, to me, to our school, and especially to this world is immeasurable! I am so blessed to have been their teacher. I am so blessed to have been greeted each day with their smiles, hugs, high fives, and little drawings and notes. Thank you,, families, for ALL of the support, the love, and the care you have shown me. You have made me part of your families and I am truly humbled by your kindness!
