Hello Families!
We have been learning letters as well as numbers up to 10 with their quantities.
This week we will continue having fun while learning new concepts and practicing the ones we have been working on.
One particular task we have been working on is writing our first name! So… you will notice, your child will be bringing home a reading bag that will come back to school each day. This bag will have a dry erase marker as well as a name writing sheet for practicing this skill. There will also be ABC matching cards and 3 books. The books can be used to help your child identify the front and back of the book as well as “reading” left to right. Your child has been practicing one of the three ways to read a book called “Read the Pictures”. This is when they use the pictures to create their own story for the book. We have been working on identifying characters as well as the letters learned while we read our books too. We have formally worked on the following letters, Mm, Tt. Dd, and Aa.
*Please remember NOT to send any food in your child’s backpack that contains peanuts, peanut butter, or tree nuts! We cannot have these foods in our classroom. PLEASE send a healthy snack to school for your child such as fruit, vegetables, or crackers. They also are encouraged to bring their own water bottle.
One more thing….PLEASE send in a 4×6 family picture for our family wall! Thank you for all you do!
Here are some more super cute pictures of your child learning at school!
I am looking forward to another great week with my little friends!
