Hello Families!!!
Today was a very busy but great day! Busy can be fun, right? π Anyhow, we had a fantastic literacy time learning about the letter S as well as rhyming words! We also went to the library today! I love the excitement the children have about books!! That makes my heart so happy! In the afternoon we met in the gym with our book buddies to read! This was fun! And….we talked about the forces push and pull. We observed a ball. We noticed it did not move until a force interacted with it. We identified this force as a push. We pushed and rolled the ball back and forth to our friends as we not only practiced this scientific concept but also the social skill of taking turns! And….. we practiced sharing our opinion about the color apple we like the best. We created a model of the apple using tear art! Check these out in our classroom!
Here are some adorable pictures!

We colored an apple to match the one we like. We used these apples to make a graph to look at the results of which apple we like the best.

We searched for uppercase and lowercase letter Ss! When we sound it, we put a smiley or star sticker on the letter to help us remember; S says /s/ like at the beginning of star and sticker.

We got different writing tools for work on writing time! In addition to markers, we have twisty crayons, pencils, colored pencils, and pens!

We sorted narrative storybooks and informational books! We talked about what makes a text informational.

Thank you for all you do!
