Hello Families!!
Please remember to be at Oakman School at 1:00 on Thursday to support your children and Mrs. F., our music teacher, during their first concert!!!
This is going to be such a memorable event and you really do not want to miss it! Your children have been working so hard in music class learning the songs and dances they will perform! Mrs. F. is incredibly talented at teaching music and has really prepared a wonderful show for us all! Get your cameras ready and invite your other family members and friends! Lets really pack the gym with an excited audience for the kids!

Thank you for all you do!! And…please mark your calendars for Thursday’s concert!!!

Hello Families!
We have been having so much fun with March is Reading Month and all of the great activities that go along with it as well as all of the guest readers! If you would like to read to our class, please remember, you are more than welcome to set up a time with me to do so.
Here are some adorable pictures from Spirit Week as well as our visit from a “leprechaun”!
Our wear a word and definition for the first day of spirit week was Habitat!!! Ask your child what habitat means!
Dr. Chochol read to us about the importance of never giving up on our dreams! She talked about her dreams and goals when she was 5 years old too!

Hello Families!
These are some of the stories we heard today! The Giving Tree is a very touching story, I actually began crying half way through it. 🙂 We had a really sweet discussion after it. This story was a very gentle way of teaching empathy. Thank you to Abeer, Ameer’s sister for sharing it with us.
Then we had some 5th grade friends use their time to come and read to us! They read a story called the “Creepy Pair of Underwear”.
We have also been practicing how to identify unknowns word in a text and ask about their meaning. “What does ____mean?”
Here is one to practice that skill with….
