Hello Families!

This was an exceptional end to the school year! Your children are permanently a part of my heart! I look forward to seeing them grow and achieve even more than they did this year as they continue their educational journey at Oakman!

The celebration this morning really warmed my heart! I can tell this is such an amazing community with such caring and supportive neighbors. I hope you all can get together with each other for the children to play.

Also, I forgot to show the movies I made…..so…here they are!!!! I hope you enjoy… Please show your children. Email me afterwards and let me know how they liked the movies! Please keep in touch. I will check my email often and am also on Whatsapp. Thank you so much for all of the memories and the support! I love you all!

Hello Families!

Today was such a fun day! We had a very enjoyable T party. The children looked adorable in their dressy clothes! Thank you!

Tomorrow is our field trip to Levagood Park. Please be sure your child is at school by 8:30! We are leaving in the morning! The children will be provided with a halal hotdog lunch. The pool will be available from 10:00-12:00. If your child is swimming, a parent must stay with them. Swimsuits must be worn in the pool area. 

Please have your child bring a blanket to sit on for our lunch picnic. ALL parents and siblings are welcome to join us!

If your child has an Oakman t-shirt, please have them wear it tomorrow! I have some extra ones.

ALL children must wear socks and gym shoes!

We enjoyed our fancy T party and practicing our manners! Thank you to Mrs. Ali, Mrs. Boussi, Mrs. Chehab, and Ms. Amy for allowing us to borrow dishes and tea cups.

Hello Families!

Happy Eid to all who are celebrating today and to those who celebrated yesterday! I wish all of you a very enjoyable day filled with love, laughter, and family.

Tomorrow, we will celebrate Letter Tt in the ABC Countdown! We will have a FANCY Tea Party (With apple juice 😉 and toast. PLEASE have your children wear their fancy clothes to school, with gym shoes of course!

THEN…FRIDAY, is our field trip to LEVAGOOD PARK. PLEASE remember the following:

1. If you intend on your child to swim, YOU MUST be with them to help them with the locker rooms as well as with the pool. We should be done swimming by 12:00.
2. Please apply sunscreen on your child before they come to school.
3. Children can wear their bathing suits under their clothing.
4. You are welcome to bring your other children with you.
5. We will have a hot dog lunch for the students. If your child cannot eat this or will not eat this, please bring them a lunch to the park by 11:00. I will have a cooler.
6. ALL parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend the entire day! I would love for this to be an Oakman Family day and for us all to enjoy the day together.
7. Your children will ride on the school bus with their class. Parents are welcome to meet at the school at 9:00 to follow the bus or meet us at the park.

Oakman’s Levagood Field Day

Friday, June 7th, 2019

The swimming pool will be available for 2 hours. Students who wish to swim need to bring swimming clothes in a bag, sunscreen and a towel.

NO STREET CLOTHES ALLOWED IN THE POOL

Park Activities include:

*Obstacle Course *Tug of War

*Volleyball *Basketball

*Bean Toss *3 Legged Race

*Egg and Spoon Race *Frisbees

Young 5 students must wear socks and gym shoes. If your child is going to swim, please come and attend the field trip with us! They can wear their bathing suits underneath their clothes. Please send a towel with your child. Please apply sunscreen to their bodies before they come to school. All children are welcome to bring a blanket to sit on.

**Special Guest: Detroit Pistons Mascot “Hooper”**

Lunch will be Provided for all students:

Halal hot dogs, chips, watermelon, popsicles, water

Our goal is for everyone to enjoy themselves, celebrate all our student’s achievements and to end the year in a positive manner.

Hello Families!

Here are some reminders for Young 5s.

1. PLEASE be sure to bring your child’s bike to school tomorrow morning when you bring your child. They can put their bike in the gym with your help. We are having a Bike a Thon with Preschool!
2. PLEASE return the signed permission slip to school no later than Friday! These were sent home today and stapled around your child’s backpack. These are for the school wide field trip next week to Levagood Park! We are so excited!!
3. PLEASE remember your child need to wear gym shoes and socks EVERYDAY to school. Thanks!
4. PLEASE send your child to school wearing a shirt with words on it! Tomorrow is the letter Rr day for the ABC Countdown. We are going to Read a shirt and Ride a bike.
5. Friday is Letter Ss day! PLEASE send your child to school wearing Silly Socks!!!

Hello Families!

I hope you all have been enjoying the time off of school with your children! I miss them! I found a video on youtube that has children explaining the importance of why our nation has Memorial Day!

There are so many men, women, and families who have made such tremendous sacrifices in efforts to preserve our freedoms. Let’s remember to thank veterans, police officers, firefighters, and other first responders who work with the heart of putting the needs and safety of others before their own.
