Today is thankful Thursday! I am so thankful for my students and that next week I get to see and teach my students in our classroom two days for Group A and two days for Group B!!! What are you and your child thankful for?
Take a look at some of the awesome things we did today.
We determined if our Benchmark text about Thomas Edison was fiction or non-fiction! We said the text is non-fiction since we got informational facts about who Thomas Edison is and what he invented!
We also read a Benchmark emergent reader and did an interactive group writing activity. The children worked so diligently.
We wrote together and practiced writing conventions such as starting our sentences with an uppercase letter and ending our sentence with an end mark! We practiced rhyming words. this friend said spoon rhymes with moon. This friend says that house rhymes with mouse.we mixed and fixed the sight word; are!We solved the problem to tell how many more mice Mama Cat needed to feed her 10 kittens. She started with only 6 mice for her hungry babies….we solved to find our how many more she needed to feed them.We solved to find out how many more oranges Tim needed for his 10 friends. He only had 7. We solved to find out he needed 3 more oranges to give one to each of his 10 friends. Please remember, we are ALL on Zoom tomorrow!!! See you then!Congratulations to Ali E. and Yesmeen M. for being the student of the week this week and last week!!!
