Terrific Tuesday in Young 5s

Hello Families!

Take a look at some of the terrific work we did today!

We searched for items at home that begin with the letter Dd’s sound. This friend found a picture of a dog.
We colored and made hats for MLK Day!
We looked at a picture of a rabbit and stretched to write the letters of the sounds we hear in the word rabbit.
We colored the earth’s land green and the water blue.
We read along with our new Martin Luther King emergent reader and used our reading fingers to touch the words!
We practiced handwriting the letter Dd. We self evaluated to circle the best uppercase D and the lowercase d we wrote.
We learned the sight word play. We cut the word apart and mixed and fixed it to read and spell our new sight word.
We wrote to answer the question, How can we help make Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream come true? This friend wrote and drew that she could give food to people in need.
