We had a fantastic Friday in Young 5s!!! Take a look at some of what we did in addition to practicing syllable counting with kitchen items, rhyming word pairs, and sharing how to spread sunshine by showing kindness!
We decomposed the number 5 with a story about Doodle and his 5 juicy dog bones!We reviewed the vowels E, O, and U. We made letter cards for manipulatives to match upper and lowercase letters and identify the letters with their sounds. For a challenge, we can turn the cards over and name a word that begins with the letter’s sound.We colored the vowels yellow!This friend represented the decomposition of the 5 dog bones with a ten frame too!
