Hello Families! 🙂
Tomorrow, Friday, at 9:00 AM, there will be a meeting for all of Oakman’s parents. Please make plans in attending this meeting to not only get valuable information, but also enjoy breakfast refreshments with other Oakman families and staff.
And….tomorrow at 4:00PM, PTA will be hosting a Family Movie Night! Please bring your children for a fun evening out that also supports or amazing PTA! You can bring a blanket or towel and enjoy a movie with your child and their friends!
PLEASE remember, the temperature is dropping and will be super cold tomorrow. PLEASE be sure your child has gloves and a hat with their winter coats. If your child or a child you know, is missing or in need of any winter items such as gloves, coats, hats, and boots, please see me.
Tomorrow is the last day to bring in money for the Burn Drive to support our local firefighters. Our class goal is $50.00. We are only about $7.00 short of meeting this goal!!! Thanks everyone!
Here are some pictures of what we did today!

We learned facts about polar bears! We learned that polar bears live in the Arctic and have black skin under their fur.

We practiced using the scale as we compared the weight of various items to make the scale balanced. We used the sentence stem, “______is as heavy as ____ marbles.” Here we see 4 counting bears is as heavy as 6 marbles.

Measuring with non standard items is a fun way for children to learn about attributes they can use when comparing different items.
Thank you for all you do!
