Hello Families!
Yesterday we were visited by a silly leprechaun… (so we pretended)! When we got to school we discovered he came and danced around our room with green paint in his shoes! He had a party inside our dollhouse! He led us on a hunt to find my pointer! And he turned me into a bearded leprechaun! It was a very fun and busy day with the silly leprechaun tactics, science, and guest readers!
Mrs. Awada read us a book about how to trap a leprechaun!
We made leprechaun traps!!!!!
We hid a plastic gold coin to trick the leprechaun inside our traps!
We worked in teams to make our traps!
We painted rainbows so the leprechaun would want to come inside our room!!!
We had a friend from Mrs. Patterson’s class read one of my favorite books, “Caps for Sale” by Esphyr Slobodkina.
The leprechaun left shamrock clues that rhymed around the school for us to find the missing pointer!
The Leprechaun made himself at home inside of our dollhouse!
Our traps did not trap the leprechaun!
We walked in and saw all of the little green footprints everywhere!
Firefighter Mike read us “Curious George visits the Fire Station” by Margret and H.A. Reys as well as a book about firefighters!
Mail Carrier, Dolores, read us “Never Mail an Elephant” by Jared Lee!!!
We sorted pictures of living and non living things! Keys are non-living things. They do not grown and change, nor do they need food and water.
People are living! We grow and change and need food and water to live!
We cut our pictures from magazines to sort into living and non-living groups as we worked in teams!
