Hello Families!

Today we were introduced to the letter Mm.

We practiced making the letter Mm with playdough.

Today I sent home a bag with a note for homework. Tomorrow I would like to see your child bring in 2-5 items that begin with the letter Mm. (ex. picture of a moon, picture of a monkey….)

We also practiced Read to Self today as well! This is part of the independent work your child will do during Daily 5, our literacy program.

During Read to Self your child will get their own book box with books to their liking inside. They will read the pictures and retell the stories they are familiar with. While they are independently working I will work with students in small groups or one on one.

Please remember to bring in a healthy snack. There is no school on Friday! I will be attending a meeting with other Young 5 teachers.

I would also to ask that you put a complete change of clothes inside of a bag with your child’s name on it. I will keep this in their backpack in case they need to change their clothes due to spills that may occur. 🙂
