Hello families!
At the end of the day I will be giving you scissors for your child. Please practice cutting with these scissors at home. The scissors will stay at your house in a safe place. I am also sending home a cutting practice page in their folders.
Today we read “The Three Bears”. We practiced the comprehension strategy called “Retell the story by naming the characters”. They did such a great job naming all four characters in our story. Please ask them to tell you about the story and to name the characters using the project they are bringing home today.
We also practiced writing our names. Please remember, writing the first name and naming the letters within the name is daily homework. Help your child write their name with a pencil or marker. Then try something fun like writing their name in shaving cream…or…using playdough to make the letters in their name.
We also practiced recognizing numbers 1-5 as we used q-tips to dot the numbers!
