Thankful Thursday

Hello Families!

I am so thankful for all of my students and their love for learning and coming to school! What are you thankful for?

Take a look at some of the super awesome work we did today!!

The sneaky leprechaun came and left tiny golden shamrocks all over our tables!
We practiced writing our uppercase and lowercase letters.
We practiced directionality (left to right progression) when reading.
We used playdough and toothpicks to create 2d shapes.
We practiced identifying the front and the back of our books!
We sorted our teddy bears by color and told which color group has the most and which has the least.
We created color patterns!
We practiced counting objects in various scattered arrangements.
We used our white boards to write the number to show how many we saw on the promethean board for groups up to 10.
We made a model of the Sun and the earth! We learned the Earth goes around the Sun and the Sun warms the Earth!!!
We used small pieces of yellow and orange tissue paper to create the hot gasses that make up the large star we call the Sun!
We wrote our opinions about our favorite colors and created a rainbow with the colors in order of the rainbow! I am so excited to tell you all how awesome the children did with writing a sentence and following directions for their project!

Thank you for all you do!

See you tomorrow on Zoom, Group A and see you face to face Group B!!!!!

Love,

Ms. Mehrhof
