Thankful Thursday!

Hello Friends!

Today is thankful Thursday! While I believe that we need to be thankful and express gratitude everyday, I would like to know what are you and your child are thankful for? You can respond right here on the blog! I am thankful for a the people in my life who show me an unconditional love and who are always available with an encouraging word or support!

Take a look at some of the terrific work we did today!!

We found items in our houses that begin with the same letter of our first names! These friends have names that begin with H!

We practiced our new sight word, me!
We mixed and fixed the sight word me!
We drew and sorted 2D shapes and created a number to decompose the total quantity of shapes!
I love my little mathematicians!
Young 5s are producing some really good stuff!!! 🙂

In addition to what was shared in this post, we also practiced identifying and writing beginning sounds of pictured words. We discussed the author’s purpose for writing our Benchmark informational text about technology at school. We practiced word by word matching and using the pictures for clues when reading with our Benchmark decodable book. We even learned a new vocabulary word!!! Want to know what it is?….Click on the embedded video below.
