2D Shapes!

Hello Families!

We have been mathematicians as we have been working with 2D shapes!

Today we sorted 2D shapes into their categories. We also practiced describing 2D shapes by talking about the characteristics of them such as the number of sides.

The children used geoboards and rubber bands to create 2D shapes.

We sorted and described 2D shapes!
We are excited about shapes!
We created squares, rectangles, triangles, and rhombi!
2D shapes are everywhere!
We checked out books from the Oakman Library today! Some of the children checked out books with a “Thanksgiving” theme.

We have been talking a lot about kindness! PLEASE, if your child does something kind for someone at home, let me know! I would love to recognize that in the classroom!

PLEASE be sure to check out the sign up sheet that is outside of our classroom door for the Thanksgiving classroom celebration next week!

PLEASE mark your calendars and come to the classroom Thanksgiving celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 26th at 2:00! The children will also be performing a song for you!

We are in NEED of baby wipes if you would like to donate any.

Also….next week we only come to school on Monday and Tuesday!

See you soon!

Have a great evening and enjoy the following links with your children!

A lovely book with rhyming words and ways to be kind!

Thank you for all you do!
