Hello Families!
Please plan on attending the Young 5 parent meeting tomorrow (Friday) at 2:50. Sign in at the office and then join the children and myself in our classroom!
Also, please send in any change or dollars you would like to donate for children with cancer. We are participating in a fund raiser for them called Pennies for Pasta.
Please be sure you turn in the permission slip and money for the field trip no later than Monday.
Here are some things we have been doing this week

We have been reading informational text about insects. During this lesson, the children had to turn and tell their Peanut Butter and Jelly partner the main topic of the informational text. “The main topic of the informational text is ants working together.”

We worked on number bonds of 5. The children had towers of 5…but it behind their back…broke it into two towers…They asked their partner… “How many is behind my back?” then they asked… “How do you know?” You can play this game with them using 5 pennies too.

We completed a RAN chart as well as a thinking map regarding facts about butterflies. Then we drew butterflies like scientists… We included the following facts; Butterflies have 6 legs, 2 antennae, a tongue, and 3 body parts…head, abdomen, and thorax. Don’t forget…butterflies have 4 wings!!!
