Hello Families!
A picture can say so much…. so here are some very adorable pictures of your children learning in Young 5s this past week.
Also, please remember, Wednesday is a late start. School will begin at 9:30 AM.
We are in need of baby wipes again. If you would like to donate, that would be great!
And, please be sure your child wears gym shoes only to school….no boots, please. Snow boots can be worn to school due to weather, but then they need to change into their gym shoes. Thank you so much for your help with this! Tomorrow is a gym day too! 🙂

We learned the letter Cc as we practiced its sound /c/ like in the beginning of cat. “/c/ /c/ C, put some color on me!”

We painted hats and mittens! We listened to the stories “The Mitten” and “The Hat’ by Jan Brett. We responded to questions about the stories as well as wrote about which one is our favorite!

We worked with our carpet buddies on noticing how our faces change when we are smiling and happy. We help up a mirror for our buddy to notice how when they smile; their eyes open big, their cheeks raise up, and their smile forms on their face.

We looked at 3D shapes from a bird’s eye view. We noticed they looked flat like 2D shapes, until….we took a different look.

We laid on our bellies as we looked at the 3D shapes and saw they were not flat, but instead popped up!

We got new writing notebooks! These will serve as a writing portfolio to keep your child’s work on writing pieces in one place to see their writing grow and develop over time.

We went on a 3D shape hunt around the room. This friend found a cone shaped item….our light bulb on our Christmas lights.

This friend is helping us record the number of days left til we have a special visit from a very special character…..Santa! We are counting down with candy canes and recording the number on ten frames!

This is such a special group of children! They truly care about each other and are such a blessing to spend time with!

We had an assembly called Jump with Jill! We sang and danced to her rock and roll songs about staying healthy and making good eating choices!

Today is my little Doodle”s 4th birthday! 🙂 I tell the children stories about Doodle all of the time. They know all about this silly dog!
Thank you for all you do!
