Also, today we practiced our first Lock Down Drill. This is a drill we practice in case of an emergency where we need to hide and stay safe. This was a little scary for some of my students. But, Mr. Abu-Rus and I explained that we are practicing to stay safe. We assured them that they do not need to feel unsafe or scared at our school. If you have any questions about the drill, please see me. Your child’s well-being and safety is our first priority!

I sent home a workbook for extra language arts practice in your child’s reading bag. Please feel free to do a page or two each week.
