Hello Families!
Happy Halloween to all of you who are celebrating! We had a bit a a different day as far as our schedule goes to fit in all of the festivities planned in our classroom.
Today was a super exciting day with lots of laughter and excitement in the air!
We learned a poem called “The 5 Little Pumpkins”. Please check your child’s folder for this poem. We practiced identifying end punctuation as well as uppercase letters using this poem.
Then we tied in math. We wrote numbers 1-5 on pumpkins and placed them in number order on the gate!
Thank you to the parents who came in to visit during math workshop!!! I hope you had a awesome time! Each of you were absolutely amazing with the children when working at your math workshop stations. The children played different math games that focus on counting and cardinality. One game even tied in graphing skills. 🙂
This afternoon, we ended our day by reading one of our new favorite books called, “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything” by Linda Williams. This is such a fun book to read with children!!! They really get into telling the story as it is read aloud.
We also made the cutest and yummiest spiders for a special Halloween treat! These were created with Oreos and pretzel sticks!
I hope you all have a safe time trick or treating this evening (if you plan on going). Please remember safety first!
Thank you for all you do!
