What we did today 9/19

Hello Families!

We started the week of with a marvelous Monday! We got to go to both Science Enrichment and Music!

We also learned about what it means to be fair by talking about the concept of sharing and taking turns. We read and responded to questions with the book, “Share and Take Turns” by Cheri J. Meiners. We had a great discussion about the kindness involved in sharing and thinking about other people’s feelings.

We also learned the sight word, (words to know by looking at them), I. In addition, we learned about the letter Mm. The children were introduced to the Alphafriend, Mimi Mouse!

We also practiced identifying numbers 0-10. We practice putting these numbers in order as well. This was alot of fun!

Your child is bringing home the weekly newsletter. Please be sure to see me if you have any questions regarding the information in the newsletter.

Homework tonight is practicing writing uppercase M and lowercase m as well as your child’s name. Please do this on notebook paper and return to me in the morning. Please practice counting to 100 by ones as well.

Tomorrow, the children will take the NWEA test on the computer. Please help them to get a good night’s sleep as well as a healthy breakfast so they can do their best on the test! 🙂

Thank you for all you do!

Have a beautiful evening!

  1. Thank you for the Update. Bilo was so super excited about Science class. I’m glad it was a good day for them and I hope the whole class successfully excels on the test tomorrow. How and when will we know the children’s score?
