Hello Kindergarten Families!
Happy 3rd week of kindergarten! This is our first full week! I look forward to another fun week of learning new things and getting to know each other more. The children are showing so much success is learning the expectations and procedures in kindergarten. I am so proud of them!
I would like to remind you of a few things. Please remember, your child needs to bring a healthy snack to school EVERYDAY! They also need to bring their folder and reading bags to school everyday. Check your child’s folder each day and remove the papers that do not need to come back to school. The reading bag contains homework items for your child. Please work with these items for 20 minutes each day. All children need to wear gym shoes to school everyday. Thank you for your teamwork in helping your child with these responsibilities!

Please assist your child in visiting the website starfall.com. Your child will be able to practice letters, sounds, and much more.
This week, your child will take the NWEA test on the computer on Tuesday morning. Please be sure your child gets plenty of sleep Monday night and a healthy breakfast Tuesday morning! I recommend that all of my amazing students get at minimum a 9 hour uninterrupted sleep. Kindergarten students should go to bed no later than 9:00. We work very hard during our day. Rest is extremely important for their little bodies. The Miller cafeteria is open and free for breakfast to all children in the mornings at 8:15-8:30.
