Scholastic Book Fair!!
The Scholastic Book Fair will be held at Howe March 28th-30th.  It will be open from 9am-8pm!!  Each student will receive a free book mark with any purchase! Also, five tumbler cups will be raffled off to students who make purchases (any purchase).
Can you spare 2 hours? We need parent volunteers to help our students shop the fair! Â Check out the sign-up board just outside the office, or email us: howe.schoolpta@yahoo.com
- All volunteers will be entered into raffles to win a Red Fleece blanket and a brand new thirty-One tote bag!

Cost: $6 each person – This will cover the admission and transportation to the Zoo.
Cash or check payable to: Nicole McDonald – Detroit Zoo Field Trip
Means of Transportation: Dearborn Public Schools Bus
Leave school: 9am                               Arrive back at school: 2pm
Chaperones are always needed! If you are interested in helping, please fill out the additional form and an additional $6 for admission fees. Â Please sign and return the permission slip by Monday, April 10, 2017.
PARENT SESSION & COFFEE WITH THE PRINCIPAL THIS THURSDAY!
Please join us this Thursday, March 9 for Coffee with the Principal and a Parent Partnership Session.  The topic for this month’s session will be the NWEA/Map Assessments. Ms. Mogalli will provide us with an overview of the assessment, describe the purpose for the assessment, and explain how we use the assessment data to plan and develop instruction for our children.  There will be time for you to ask any questions you might have about the NWEA as well.  Coffee and dialogue with the principal will take place from 8:45-9:00 and the NWEA session will begin at 9:00 in the media center. Planning for an adult family member with Special Needs requires in-depth knowledge of ever changing local resources, laws, legal and financial tools available as you assist your family member in creating a current and future working plan to meet their lifelong dreams and needs.
As parents, you have always taken good care of your child. How well are your successors equipped to help your child with Special Needs? Speakers, Minoti Rajput, CFP®, ChSNC and Mehul Mistry, CFP® of Secure Planning Strategies will explain the importance of Special Needs planning strategies and will address questions for both planning and key components of the Able Act.
