This link will take you to a Google Doc with helpful information to help you with your IXL assignments. I will continue to add to it as I have time.

Week of 10/21- 10/25

Monday: IXL I.9, J.1, and J.3 Due Tomorrow. Khan Academy: 2 assignments (adding/subtracting fractions with unlike denominators) Due Tomorrow. IXL J.2, J.4, R.12, R.13, and R.15 Due Thursday. Students should continue to spend 30+ minutes per night completing the 6th grade mission.

First Hour: Mehdi, Shahd, Jameelah, Yusif, and Ayah- for some reason you are not on my roster. Please go through Clever as usual, go to “Teachers” and put in this code: EPTFKDAN. If it does not work, I will fix it tomorrow morning when I see you! I think this happened accidentally when I was trying to delete the old accounts so that I only had the Clever Accounts on my list. Please don’t worry!

Tuesday: Remember, 30 minutes per night spent working on the mission = 150 points at the end of the week. 25% by the end of November is the minimum, but I think we should easily be able to get to 40% by the end of November. Continue to study Adding and Subtracting Fractions with unlike denominators, equivalent ratios, and unit rate. No ADDITIONAL assignments tonight- just be sure IXL J2, J4, R12, R13, and R15 are done by Thursday, and any old assignments are completed tonight as I will be adding in more grades. Fifth Hour Only: Instruction book pgs. 20-21.

Wednesday: All hours- make sure IXL J2, J4, R12, R13, and R15 are done. First Hour: Pgs. 24-25 in the instruction book. Second Hour: Pgs. 23, 24, and 25. Fifth Hour: pgs. 24-25. PINK OUT TOMORROW! WEAR PINK AND BRING A DOLLAR TO DONATE TO CANCER FOUNDATION! $$ gets turned in to your first hour teacher!

Thursday: ALL HOURS: Practice book pages 19-26 and a half hour of working on the Khan mission. Everything else online should have already been done. Quizzes tomorrow will be on Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Unlike Denominators (no regrouping!) and on Lesson 3: Equivalent Ratios. Click on the link to the file below to see the answer key for tonight’s assignment!

As a reminder, the quizzes will be on Friday: IXL Section A (except Roman numerals), Ratios, and GCF. Please have your parents sign your progress report and return it to me tomorrow!

Thursday: Remember, if you have late work to give me, it goes in the homework bin! I will check the bin about once per week. First hour students need to make sure that their parents fix any mistakes on the Emergency Card then sign the back and turn it in as soon as possible. Reminder that the 3 Khan Assignments are due tomorrow and the IXL is due Monday. If you need to complete any Khan Academy LATE assignments, you need to sign in through CLEVER, click on Assignments, then click on Past to see the late work and complete it. Tomorrow you will have 2 quizzes: one on GCF (I suggest you study on IXL) and one on Ratios (see your study guide). Tomorrow you will work on your Factor List 1-100 after both quizzes, BOTH SIDES, are complete. If it is not finished in class, it will be due tomorrow. It needs to be finished before it can be traded for the extra credit word search. Have a nice weekend.
