Ms. Martin's Fifth Grade

DTE visited our classroom today. Please ask your child to tell you all about it.

They are bringing home a DTE kit and a Home Energy Worksheet. When you open the kit with your child, please have them fill out the worksheet. The worksheet is due Monday.

ONE WEEK NOTICE – MATH MID-MODULE ASSESSMENT

Mid-Module One Assessment is Scheduled for Monday, October 8 (Tuesday, October 9 at the latest).

Students should study their Succeed Book lessons 1 – 10. Their Succeed Book may go home as long it is in school everyday for partner work.

The assessment includes: place value, rounding and adding/subtracting. Students will also need to Read, Draw, and Write for word/story problems involving place value, rounding and add/subtracting.

Eureka Math Parent Sheets are available on the home page of this blog.

Please help your child make a list of states they have visited. They do not need to be in any specific order.

Just a Reminder… Please sign your child’s assignment book/planner. I am trying to cut down on incomplete, late and missing assignments. By signing, you and your child should have discussed their assignments, events of the day, etc. This will help your child stay organized.

Please check Parent Connect. Incomplete, late and/or missing assignments will be labeled. Your login is the same as last year. Teachers are not given login numbers.

We would like to invite you to a 4th grade parent meeting in your child’s classroom on Thursday, September 6 from 2:45-3:15. We will briefly go over Howard School and classroom procedures/expectations, as well as the fourth grade curriculum.
