Weekend

     During the weekend I eat snacks like yogurt and cookies.  One time I made some. I like to play chess with my mom. I play video games with my friends and I feel relaxed. I like to play outside and I am learning how to ride my bike without my training wheels.

     On the weekend, I watched tv and watched my dad build. Also, we drew and I worked on projects. Me and my brother made fans and flowers and created learning videos. At nightime, I brushed my teeth and went to bed.

     I had a nice weekend with my family.  My sister and I played Roblox. We stayed at home because of the coronavirus.  My mom cooked healthy vegan food. On Sunday, my dad and I watched the Despicable Me movie.

     I like Kalahari. It is the best. I went inside the scary water slide. There were millions of scary slides. It was scary and fun. Also, I went to a hotel room to sleep. My favorite was the hot tub.

Movie Night

     Last Saturday we had a movie night. We watch Trolls World Tour at night at 8:30 pm. In the morning, we had an Easter Egg Hunt. The movie was good. At night, we had tacos for dinner.  

My 7th Birthday!

     On my birthday the police came to my house and gave me  free coupons for Dairy Queen. They played a happy birthday song! It made me happy!

Morning Message

Good Morning First graders, I hope you had a nice weekend. Starting from this point, you will be getting graded for your work, but it won’t be the grades you are used to. They will be M(meeting), P(progressing), and LP limited progression.

Elementary Assessment and Grading Guidelines 

For this marking period, students will receive feedback on weekly assignments in the form of narrative comments. 

  • Meeting:  regularly submitted work and attended check-ins
    • Accuracy of work assessed on standards/graded
    • High participation
  • Progressing:  Submitted most assignments and attended some of the check-ins
  • Limited Participation:  little or no participation due to circumstances shared with teacher

Spring Break This Week

As you might have heard this week is considered our “Spring Break”. The will be no assignments this week.

Breakfast/Lunch

There is still bags of lunch/breakfast items being passed out around the district. Dearborn High is the site closest to Howard school. The hours are from 10:00 -12:00. I have been helping pass out these bags a couple times a week. This week I will be passing items out on Wednesday and Thursday.

Meeting on Google Hangout

I was so happy and excited to see the smiling faces of those that logged into the meeting this past Saturday. They told me about what they do for fun; what games they are playing and what outdoor activities they are doing like bike riding. We will continue to have online meetings once a week after the break. Next time I’m going to try ZOOM.
