Morning Message

Good morning First Graders and parents. I hope this message is finding you all safe, healthy and in good spirits. I hope your little surprise yesterday helped with that. I can see that all of you are now “all in” in this thing called “Remote Learning”. I can tell by your questions, comments, and of course all the work being turned in by mail and online.

Google Classroom

Google classroom gives me a “real time” update on what assignments have been turned in. For assignments that have not been turned in by the due date it says “missing”. Missing could mean “not turned in” or “something is missing” because a student forgot to answer a question. I know from personal experience that in my classroom many 1st grade students turn in assignments with “something missing”. It could be their name, a question was skipped, or it didn’t get “turned in. So Google classroom gives me the option to return the assignment to you, If you get an assignment back check it over carefully.

If you continue to have problems, send me a copy of what you have. I am going to try and log off my chromebook , and log in as YOU, and see what the problem is.

On my blog I have a list (subscriptions) that tells me who has signed up for the my blog. For some people, it shows you enrolled on my blog, but when you do, it sends a confirmation email that you need to click. If you don’t click on the email it sends you, you are kind of like in limbo. I resent the confirmation email to those people. Please click on the email to show you want to get emails from the blog More drama I know.
