Hello everyone! Happy Monday! Are we ready to start a new week? I have good news about Kindergarten Registration. For a student who is in PreK currently enrollment is automatic. Your student will be enrolled in Kindergarten for next year. They will ALL still need a new physical and copy of their immunizations. **If you have had any changes such as an address change or anything like that, you will need to register so that the district has the correct information on file.
Here we go with our morning song to start our daily activities…
Letter of the Week
Our letter this week is letter P. Capital P and lowercase p. They sound like puh. Pig, pickle and pizza all start with that same sound.
Draw 2 things that start with the letter P. Write a P next to them.
Math
For math today I would like you to explore the math site Happy Numbers that I set up for you. Click on the link below. Click on your child’s name and the password is 5.

Work Time
Planning Time (5 minutes): Build your child’s ability to organize their time by having them make a “plan” with you about what they would like to play with. Children do this everyday with us at school. It helps children learn to organize their thoughts. Adults make plans all the time to organize their thoughts (shopping lists are made before going to the grocery store, to do lists are made to help plan your day etc..).
Work Time (45-60 minutes): During work time kids play WITHOUT ELECTRONICS. Kids can use toys to pretend play, build, and create.
Clean Up (about 15 minutes): Kids clean up the mess they have made while playing.
Recall Time (5 minutes): Build your child’s memory of events by having your child tell you what they did while they played (ask “tell me how you did that” or “what did you do next?”)
Story Time
This is another one of our classroom books that we would have read 4 times and then put it out for the kids to read (retell) on their own. The title of the story is Owen
We will be listening to this story again this week. Talk about the characters in the book. What animal is Owen? Who are the characters? How many characters are there in the book? Draw a picture of Owen.
Movement/Outside
It is supposed to be a rainy day but if there is a break in the rain try to go for a quick walk. If you can’t get outside maybe you can you a blanket like Owen’s to build a fort. If you build a fort make sure to read a book in your fort, maybe with a flashlight if it’s dark. Have a Happy Monday!
