LETTER OF THE WEEK

The letter we were looking at last week was the letter J. We’ll review that letter today by writing it in the air! Put your hand up high, make a big line down and a little curve. Now frog jump back up to the top and make a little line across!

ASSIGNMENT

  1. Read together for 20 minutes.
  2. Draw a picture of something that begins with the letter J.
  3. Choose a book in your house and find all of capital J’s and lowercase j’s. Make a tally graph to count how many capital J’s and lowercase J’s you found. Which one had more? (you can use the graph below as an example)

ATTENDANCE WHILE SCHOOL IS CLOSED

Please make sure to send me pictures of your child completing the daily activities. This is how I will be counting “attendace” while school is closed. Pictures/messages sent to me through the remind app or emailed to stortij@dearbornschools.org

ASSIGNMENT

  1. Let’s get some fresh air! Take a walk around your block or back yard and look for the following things: Something hard, something soft, something green, something squishy, something shiney, and something furry. Make a list of the items you find and send me a picture!
  2. Read together for 20 minutes.
