Wednesday- Friday: Research 5 people from the selected articles on Google- classroom. For each article highlight the information using the color code and summarize what it says by creating a comment to add to your Note-Taker. Due Monday.

This week we will continue reading informational text and using the SQ3R strategy to aid in comprehension. All my language arts students received a school progress report today. Grades have changed since they were submitted. Please be sure to check parent/student connect to see their up-to-date grade.

Week of Dec. 2nd

This week marks the 1/2 way point of card-marking 2 (CM2). You have been reading for over 15 weeks now ( at home and school) and are expected to have 3 books completed so far. Remember to write your exit ticket in your meta-cognitive log for each book when you finish it.

We will be switching over to reading informational text for the next 3 weeks. This week we will focus on using a reading strategy called SQ3R to help us avoid reading something and not knowing anything about it. Week of Nov. 18

This week we will concentrating on making revisions to your prequel to ” The Monkey’s Paw”. Each night you should be making additional changes to your draft based on what we discussed and what feedback you received. Your revised copy is due on google classroom by Wednesday night at 10 pm. On Friday, we will concentrate on editing/proofreading your prequel to “The Monkey’s Paw”. The final copy is due on goggle classroom by Sunday night at 10 pm.

You should also be reading your SSR+ book nightly at home. The deadline for finishing the book and turning in an exit ticket is prior to Dec. 4th
