Week of Sept. 4th

Welcome back to another hot week. This week we will be giving our Summer Book Talk, turning in the bookmark and working on our Grammar Boot camp ( refreshing our minds of those words we need to have a handle on). Be sure to bring water to keep you hydrated and dress appropriately for the heat.

Homework: Find a good fit-book to read. Hopefully many of you are already into a book. If not listen to the book talks to find one that is right for you. The classroom library and school library have a great selection to check out. Your local library is an awesome place to find books and cool off!!! I?we can’t wait to see what you are currently reading!!!

Welcome to the 2018-19 School Year!!!

I/We are so glad you are here! You maybe wondering why the I/We? That is because 4th, 5th and 6th hr are co taught by Ms. Lessel and Mrs. Blaylock while 1st and 3rd hour are with Ms. Lessel. So depending on your class hour select the pronoun that fits.

It is recommended to click the link that allows you to subscribe to the blog so when it is updated you will have it sent to you. This way you don’t need to search for it. In general it is updated each Monday so that you know what is upcoming for the week and aren’t flooded with emails for it. While you are checking things out go to Mi_Star and check out your grade so far.

This week we have been busy learning about each other, creating our classroom environment, setting up some of our routines, and dealing with the heat. You have shown us that you know what school is  for- an education ,  that how you get an education is by teaching and learning, and why you/we/I are doing this is because YOU MATTER.  It is as simply as that.
